Trócaire 2019

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Trocaire 2019 Lenten  Campaign. Team Trocaire raised an amazing total of 366 Euro. Our Trocaire Ambassadors from 1st to 6th class had a very busy Lent. Each day different Ambassadors visited the classes to collect.

During Friday Assemblies, Team Trocaire introduced us to the children who feature on 2019 Trocaire box. We got to know Maria, Patricia, Maya and their families. We learned about their lives and their countries.

On Monday 8th of April we had a special visitor from Trocaire. A huge thank you to Susan, for coming to our school to share lots of wonderful information with us about Guatemala and Maria.

Again, a massive thank you to everyone for your kindness, support and generosity. Wishing you all a safe and Happy Easter.

From Miss Kelly and Team Trocaire 2019

Happy Mothers Day

I said a Mother’s Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.
I thanked God for the caring
you’ve shown me through the years,
for the closeness we’ve enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.
And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you’ve done for me
and I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be!

We are back in business!

We are delighted to have our school website up and running again. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the mid-term break. Spring seems to have arrived today, and we are awaiting the arrival of five little chicks later this week. Keep tuned in for more news.

Well Done!

Welcome back to school after the mid-term break. Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable time.
Our annual Mission Week was a huge success, as always, and the girls raised 935 Euro. Well done! A very special ‘Thank You’ goes out to all of the girls for working so hard during the week, and we are very grateful for the time and effort that went into baking and making such delicious cakes and buns at home – you have been very generous and kind.

Hallowe’en Dress Up

All the girls may dress up for Hallowe’en tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing how creative you can be with your costume.

Mayor’s Visit

We were delighted to welcome Mayor Joe Kelly to the school on Monday morning. He presented certificates to 17 girls who had full attendance at school last year. 16 other girls received certificates for missing no more than three days at school. Well done to all of you girls and to your Mums and Dads for making sure you got to school every day.
The Mayor’s message this year was about staying safe at Hallowe’en. Remember to stay away from bonfires and bangers, and make sure that you have an adult with you if you are going trick or treating.

It’s Maths Week!

This week, we are celebrating all things Mathematical! Why not check out the Maths Puzzles for all ages on the Maths Week Ireland website? http://www.mathsweek.ie/2018/2015/10/resources-puzzles/
